Valentina Vaccarella’s ‘Show World Order’ with Other Subjects

Valentina Vaccarella’s (b.1993) solo exhibition ‘Show World Order’ investigates the realms of pornography, psychology, and gender in a polymorphic transactional setting. The exhibition is biographical and rises from the artist’s background as a dancer. Psychosexual sculptures and ephemeral pieces such as car radios, coins from Show World, and rosary create a highly personal aura and immediately complement each other to reveal details about her time working at Sapphire Club in NY. The works seamlessly fuse subjectivity and objectivity in the intimate albeit cold, industrial setting of the space located at Mcguinness Studios in Greenpoint Brooklyn. Her work takes on an honest subcultural perspective that confronts the viewer with important questions such as how does pornography affect our subconscious and how do porn and art reveal similar truths?

The exhibit is running until January 31st on an appointment only basis. If you don't have the chance to visit then take a virtual look on Killer-Dentist.com.
